This season, we’ve decided to push our Hollywood tops in some slightly different directions. This pair pays homage to the original Nutter’s look that Edward was cutting in the ‘70s; it’s wide parallel legs offer a modern take on Oxford bags. Like our other tops, they’re made with a structureless ‘grown on’ waistband and dropped belt-loops that enable them to sit high on the waist and remain comfortable to wear. They feel modern and clean, but carry a touch of art deco Sexton nostalgia too. In soft 11oz Italian woollen flannel, this houndstooth pair is richly textured and work a treat paired with classic navy or charcoal rollbacks and our new season brushed cotton overshirts, for a sophisticated smart-casual look.
The Hollywood trouser is a Sexton signature, but the design has been around since the 1930s. True to the original, these are cut with generous, flowing lines for an authentic art-deco look. Incidentally, they take their name from the trousers that Hollywood costume departments use to run-up en masse in the ‘40s. Naturally, ours aren’t ‘run up’, but instead are handmade to a Sexton pattern from the best Italian flannel
